National Junior Honor Society

Membership in this organization is open to 7th and 8th grade students who meet academic requirements set by the national organization.  Meetings are held monthly.  The purpose is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, to develop character, and to encourage citizenship.

Students will continue to excel in scholarship, leadership, citizenship, service, and character.  They will participate in peer tutoring in grades EC3 - 3rd Grade, helping at the Nativity Catholic Church Food Pantry, and assisting on special visitor days.

Activities planned for the year: decorate the children's ward at Tampa General Hospital, serve and help at Christmas luncheon for the shut-ins and Food Pantry's Christmas party for needy children, and plan participate in liturgy and induction ceremony for new members.
