Continuous Enrollment

We have made great strides over the last several years as we transitioned from a multitude of handwritten paper forms to electronic forms. Now we are ready to begin the next evolution in our re-enrollment process.

Our retention rate averages about 95% each year, which shows that the majority of our families intend to have their children graduate from Nativity Catholic School. With that in mind, beginning in late January, we are shifting to Continuous Enrollment. Simply put - your student(s) will be automatically enrolled each year until you choose to withdraw. 

Another important change that coincides with our new Continuous Enrollment process, is our new billing cycles. For families on our: 

  • Semi-annual payment plan: We have traditionally invoiced families for the following school year each May and November. Going forward, the first payment for the school year will be in April and the second in October. 
  • Monthly tuition payment plan: We have traditionally invoiced families for the following school year beginning in May and ending in February (10 months of payments). Going forward, the first payment will begin in April and conclude in January
  • Annual payment plan: We have traditionally invoiced families for the following school year each May. Going forward, invoicing will now occur in April

We are excited about this change and really believe our parents are going to love not having to worry about this process anymore.

What is re-enrollment?

Re-enrollment is the annual data collection process that we use to update enrollment records. This information is used as we make plans for the following school year.

Basically, the simple question is: “Are you coming back to NCS next year?” Our leadership team needs to know how many students we will have on the first day of school the following year.

Our leadership team does a lot of planning to ensure that we’re prepared to fulfill our mission to the best of our abilities every year. Until NCS families “sign on the line” that they’re coming back each year, we can’t make solid plans for staffing, programs, materials, curriculum, and facility usage. We take the stewardship of tuition dollars entrusted to us every year very seriously. We want to invest these tuition dollars wisely so that we can provide the best education possible for our students.

When will the new tuition rates be published?

Our Finance Department is committed to publishing the new tuition rates by Friday, January 29, 2021.

Do I have to pay a re-enrollment fee?

No!

Going forward, we will no longer have a re-enrollment fee for our families.

Do I have to complete the form if I have no intention of leaving NCS?

Yes. The Continuous Enrollment form will be sent in late January. You must complete the form by 8am on Monday, February 15, 2021. 

Up until this school year, re-enrollment has been an “opt-in” program. Each year, we ask our families if they are returning the following school year. In a sense, we’ve been inconveniencing the vast majority of families by forcing everyone to go through this process each year. 

By completing our Continuous Enrollment contract this year, you will be flipping that script. Rather than opting in each year, our annual re-enrollment will become an OPT-OUT process. In other words, if you’re coming back after signing your Continuous Enrollment Contract, you’ll never have to worry about this again!

What will re-enrollment look like after this year?

Once all of our families have completed the Continuous Enrollment form, a communication will be sent each January reminding families to notify us and complete a withdrawal form before mid-February if they will not be returning the following school year.

What is the deadline to communicate my intent to withdraw?

We're sorry to see you go! The deadline to complete the Withdrawal Form is 8am, Monday, February 15, 2021. Billing for the next school year will begin in April 2021. 

Please contact admissions@nativitycatholicschool.org and let us know if you need a Withdrawal Form sent to you. 

Once the Withdrawal Form is complete, no further action is necessary.

Do I need to pay an enrollment fee to enroll another student?
  • If you are an existing family at NCS, you will not be assessed an enrollment fee.
  • If you are a new family to NCS, there will be a one-time enrollment fee.

Please note, there is a $50 application fee for each applicant.

How do I report changes to my or my student's information?

It is CRITICAL that we have the most up to date information for you and your student(s) at all times. 

  • If you need to update your mobile phone, address or office phone number or extension, log in to your PlusPortals account and click the drop-down arrow by your name. Select Edit Demographics and submit your changes.

  • If you need to update your email address, please contact techhelp@nativitycatholicschool.org and your information will be updated as soon as possible.
     
  • If you need to update Emergency Contacts, Tuition Payment Selection,  or provide updated medical information, please log in to your PlusPortals account and click the Forms link to update the necessary forms.
