This morning, our school family gathered for Mass, celebrated by Father Mike and assisted by Deacon Bob. A heartfelt thank you to our 6th graders for leading and hosting the Mass so reverently — and bravo to our sweet kindergarteners, whose joyful voices filled the church as they led the choir.
We are in our first week of Lent, and we’re reminded what this season is truly about. Lent isn’t about checking off boxes — it’s about opening our hearts to God’s mercy. That’s the real “sign of Jonah.” When Jonah preached to the people of Nineveh, they listened, repented, and changed. That’s the invitation for us, too.
Father Mike shared the word METANOIA — a powerful Greek term meaning a profound change of heart, a change of ways, a change of attitude — in simple terms, turning back to God with intention. Let’s walk this Lenten journey with open hearts and ready spirits.
Have a wonderful rest of your day, Cougars!
